thanks for the swift reply. Was this hotel damaged by the hurricane?

how sure are you that this is the hotel Presidente Inter-Continental Cancun? (out of 100) :)

I know its only guess work ! :-)

many thanks

No guarantees but...

I would believe this to be the Presidente Inter-Continental as the star rating and amenities match exactly.

Furthermore (and this also answers your other question regaring the hurricane), this hotel is currently closed and not accepting reservations until 3/1/06. Using this information, i searched Hotwire for the dates of 3/1/06-3/3/06 and (presumably) the same hotel showed up which apepared for your own dates. I then re-submitted the search for 2/28/06-3/3/05 and a hotel with this description did not show up... so it is consistent with the Presidente Inter-Continental not accepting reservations until after March 1, 2006.

I think it's risky to put a numerical or percentage as to "how confident" anyone is regarding a property's id, because it can only lead to disappointment; it's best to present all the 'evidence' which points to a given property and then let the user ultimately decide if the clues are enough to take a chance (and as my statistics professor would say in a situation such as this, "it can only be 0 or 1, you will be right or wrong").

I will say that i'd be surprised if it wasn't the Presidente.

Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help.
