Hi. A new user from London :)

Me and a friend are travelling to New York for the first time next year from the 27th January 2015 to 5th February 2015 and we can not wait. We really want to stay somewhere in the heart of Manhattan as we really want to get the best American experience but been checking prices and there very expensive. I came across Priceline and see it as an opportunity to get a really good stay somewhere. I have been using this website and been researching on the zones that Priceline use and the prices and stars.

I have looked through the zones and we are happy to stay in any of them apart from Brooklyn, Long Island City and Morningside Heights - Harlem.

Price wise, we are happy to pay from £50 to £60 ($80 to $100) a night.

Hotel stars wise, 3* and up

Our ideal zone would be Madison Square Garden as the 3* and 3 1/2 * hotel reviews are very good. I think that the Empire State Building area can be a bit risky because I have noticed that the 3* hotels are getting very mixed reviews. I would love your opinion on that.

We are flexible on location and I am hoping you can be of assistance on helping us find a strategy to use on Priceline so that we can really enjoy our time in New York :)

We can not wait to take a bite of this "big apple" we've heard so much about lol

Welcome to BetterBidding!

Please only post on the board in US Dollars as it helps keep things organized and in the future prices are not subject to interpretation as currency rates change.

If you're able to increase your budget to $105/nite PRICELINE EXPRESS has a 4* hotel in the MSG zone (Pets Allowed, Restaurant, Business Center, Fitness Center) which i'm guessing to be the Wyndham New Yorker.

At $100/nite there is a 3* hotel in the Lower East Side zone (Free Breakfast, Free Internet, Business Center, Fitness Center) i'm guessing the Best Western Bowery Hanbee Hotel.

Lastly if budget is the primary objective there is a 3* hotel in the Times Square zone (Restaurant, Business Center, Fitness Center) which may be the Best Western Plus President Hotel At Times Square.

Are any of the above of interest OR if you prefer to try bidding for a hotel, let us know, by PRICELINE name, the zones that you are willing to accept (rather than the ones that you won't accept) and we will suggest a strategy for you to follow.

Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
