bob_loblaw1 Posted October 11, 2014 Report Posted October 11, 2014 Amenities shown (PRICELINE EXPRESS) are Free Internet, Free Breakfast, Business Center. When I click to book, it says the $97 rate is for "Single Bed - Nonsmoking Standard Room", but just above it says "All rooms will accommodate up to 2 adults". We are 2 adults travelling, and only need one bed in the room, but we need to make sure it fits 2 people! Any help guessing the identity of the hotel and/or the single bed/two adults mystery would be much appreciated. Thanks!
thereuare Posted October 11, 2014 Report Posted October 11, 2014 My guess for this property would be the Condor Hotel. I suppose it could be argued that you expected one single bed that would be a Queen or King and would accommodate two adults, but i think the 'will accommodate two adults' is standard disclaimer by PRICELINE and more likely this would be a room/bed that would only sleep one person. If you did purchase and inquired further i speculate that PRICELINE would refund the reservation (as opposed to finding you a room at the same or different hotel for the same price that would accommodate two people)... but getting it resolved could require some patience, time, and phone calls on your part. If you're trying to keep this within budget a safer play might be the 3.5* hotel on HOTWIRE for $116/nite with a 4.0/5.0 TA rating: Complimentary Breakfast Free Internet Boutique Smoke Free Hi-Speed Internet Blind Accessible Travel Accessible Room Accessible Bathroom Accessible ... my guess here would be the Hotel BPM - Brooklyn New York. thereuare Posted October 14, 2014 Report Posted October 14, 2014 Congratulations on your success! Hope you're pleased with the outcome and this property will work well for your needs this trip. For breakfast one morning this place is an easy walk from your hotel and is recommended (although it's very small, you may not be able to get a seat at a table or the counter, which if so and the weather is nice you can take your bagels and coffee and walk towards Broadway to try to get a table outside in front of Macy's): Best Bagel and Coffee 225 W 35th St (between Seventh and Eighth Ave) Thank you for sharing your win with the board.
