Venus0105 Posted October 10, 2014 Report Posted October 10, 2014 I saw a PRICELINE EXPRESS deal for $110 so I decided to start my bid at $85 and it was accepted!!! The regular price is showing $299 for that night. I'm very pleased with the win and the hotel is only about a half mile from a concert I'm attending at the Theater of Living Arts, though I'm not sure if it can be walked as I'm unfamiliar with this city. As always I used the Priceline link. :D
thereuare Posted October 10, 2014 Report Posted October 10, 2014 Congratulations on your success! Glad to see you scored a great deal for this stay and that the location works out well for your needs. I'm somewhat familiar with this area and as far as i know it's easily walk-able (but just confirm with the hotel beforehand in terms of safety... both avoid any 'trouble' neighborhoods as well as a route with sidewalks, although i don't think either is much of a concern here... South Street is a pretty major street in Philadelphia and a similar feel to NYC's Greenwich Village, imo). Also, near your theater is Jim's Steaks (400 South St.) which is a fairly well known Philly Steak shop and worth a visit before/after the show. Thank you for sharing your win and using the PRICELINE links on the board to begin your bidding. Enjoy your stay. Venus0105 Posted October 10, 2014 Author Report Posted October 10, 2014 Thanks for the suggestions! I'm a vegetarian myself but my boyfriend loves Philly cheesesteaks. I'll definitely check with the hotel first about walking. We're planning to stay in NYC the following night so I'm working on that bid next.
thereuare Posted October 10, 2014 Report Posted October 10, 2014 Jim's does offer a meatless option: Meatless (Choice of Cheese, Vegetables, Sauce) If you need help with, or to report a win for, that leg of your trip please start a NEW TOPIC. THANKS! Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
Venus0105 Posted October 11, 2014 Author Report Posted October 11, 2014 The meatless option sounds good. We'll have to try it! I'll start a new topic when I book NYC. Luckily I'll have a little more to spend with the savings on this one.
