MattS11 Posted October 8, 2014 Report Posted October 8, 2014 Hi there Looking for 4* in Chelsea weekend of 11/21-11/24. This is what it comes up with, any idea what hotel I am getting? AmenitiesFree Internet Boutique Hotel Restaurant(s) Business CenterAccessibilityIn-room accessibility Thanks in advance
AaronJB Posted October 8, 2014 Report Posted October 8, 2014 Please provide a follow-up for your prior Rio Grande Priceline thread (post what you decided for that stay within that thread, then reply to this thread and we would be happy to take a look at the above post.) Also: I believe there are more amenities then what you have posted above as HOT.WIRE has a new interface that does not show the complete set of amenities unless you click thru a few extra links. If you repeat your search using our Bidding.Helper.com tool... use the HOTWIRE EASY VIEW tab and then click the GREEN BUTTON next to this listing, do you see more amenities (including accessible amenities) then what you have listed above? Thank you for using the board's HOT.WIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
MattS11 Posted October 8, 2014 Author Report Posted October 8, 2014 Thanks, this is the full list FULL AMENITIES: Free Internet, Boutique Hotel, Restaurant(s), Business Center, Internet access, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom
thereuare Posted October 8, 2014 Report Posted October 8, 2014 The Flatiron Hotel would be my best guess for this offer. Not sure of your needs for this trip but i'm seeing what appears to be the TRYP Times Square South for $165/nite for your dates, which has an impressive 4.5/5.0 TA rating, if this is of any interest. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Let us know what you decide for this stay and how it goes or if we can be of further help. MattS11 Posted October 8, 2014 Author Report Posted October 8, 2014 The Flatiron Hotel is what I thought as well…has mixed reviews so I'll skip it. TRYP looks great thought - where did you find that?
AaronJB Posted October 8, 2014 Report Posted October 8, 2014 I'm seeing a 4* in the MSG/Convention area w/Restaurant, Fitness, Smoke Free, Free Internet, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Travel Accessible, Room Accessible, Bathroom Accessible, Roll-in Shower. The Wyndham New Yorker and Tryp have been seen with this amenity set before, but the Tryp far more often. Also, the Tryp has a 4.5/5 tripadvisor rating (which can be seen/confirmed if you click on the listing and look for the tripadvisor logo about halfway down the page) and the Wyndham does not. Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
MattS11 Posted October 8, 2014 Author Report Posted October 8, 2014 Tryp sounds great, but I think I am getting Wyndham based on the amenities that come up now - mainly the golf, what you think? $168 - 4* MSG/Hell Kitchen FULL AMENITIES: Free Internet, Smoke Free Rooms, Fitness Center, Restaurant(s), Business Center, Internet access, Golf Nearby, Accessible for the blind, Accessible for the deaf, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Roll-in shower
AaronJB Posted October 8, 2014 Report Posted October 8, 2014 I'm seeing two 4*'s in the MSG zone when searching for two adults, one for $173 w/Restaurant, Fitness, Smoke Free, Free Internet, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Travel Accessible, Room Accessible, Bathroom Accessible, Roll-in Shower. This would be a possible match for the Tryp. I'm also seeing a 4* for $160 w/Restaurant, Fitness, Smoke Free, Free Internet, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Golf, Blind Accessible, Deaf Accessible, Travel Accessible, Room Accessible, Bathroom Accessible, Roll-in Shower. This would likely be the Wyndham New Yorker. You may see slightly different prices.. are you seeing both listings? Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
MattS11 Posted October 11, 2014 Author Report Posted October 11, 2014 Just to close this off - plans changed a bit and ended up booking something downtown/wall st. The only 4.5* listing on here is the W Downtown, so I was a bit surprised when I got the Andaz Wall St.. Happy with what I got, but you will want to update your listing - I definitely would have preferred the W.
thereuare Posted October 12, 2014 Report Posted October 12, 2014 Sorry to see this wasn't the hotel you were hoping for, but it does look to be a very nice deal for these dates at this well reviewed property. I suspect the amenities of the property you purchased didn't match those of the W Hotel, which would have been the first clue that this was some other property. When trying to identify hotel you want to make sure that all the amenities match, not just the star rating. Can you please add a reply to this thread confirming the room rate per nite and the amenities shown before your purchase... you can still view this information by going to HOTWIRE and clicking the MY ACCOUNT link near the top right of their home page. Thank you for sharing your win with the board and helping us update the Hotwire Hotel List with the new star rating for this property. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Enjoy your stay. MattS11 Posted October 12, 2014 Author Report Posted October 12, 2014 Yes I suspect I didn't read every exact amenity due to the fact it isn't in your 4.5* list…oh well - with Andaz will be great Here are the amenities…at $188 CDN Free InternetPet friendlyFitness CenterRestaurant(s)Business CenterSelf service laundryInternet accessSpa ServicesAccessibilityAccessible for the deafAccessible path of travelIn-room accessibilityWheelchair accessibleAccessible bathroomRoll-in shower
