bbjap
Hi there... first time poster...I've just been given the oppourtunity to go down to new york for new years, but now i've got to find a place to stay. We're a bit flexible in timing, but would like to be in new york for dec 29th to jan5th... we can stay shorter or longer... Would like to be in the action cuz we've never been to NYC. How should i go about this. Thanks... Knowing it's new years i know we'd need to spend more, but would like to stay below 200 if possible... better if it was below 160. THANKS Link to comment

bbjap
hi... we have no trouble splitting... and we'd love to stay in something 3+ or higher.... but we realize it is newyears eve and the holiday period. We're lucky to save any money at all! Link to comment
thereuare
When bidding NYC, you have two re-bid zones at the 4* level and one re-bid zone at the 3* level. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask any questions that you have and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board. This is how i would begin, given your maximum bid amount (which i'm not sure if it will be enough or not)For 12/29-1/1Select 3* UM/CPS... Bid $140, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $150, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 3* MTW... Bid $140, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $150, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 3* MTE... Bid $140, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $150, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 3* UM/CPS and MTW... Bid $160, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $170, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 3* UM/CPS and MTE... Bid $160, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $170, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 3* UM/CPS and MTW and MTE... Bid $170, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $180, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.DO NOT try to book the other dates of your stay before having success for the above dates. Also, do not follow the above strategy for the other dates of your stay. The balance of your stay should cost much less, so i wouldn't be too alarmed right now by price, as i think we should be able to come in at under $200 per nite for the complete stay, even if the above dates requires you to ultimately go higher than that.Any questions feel free to ask. Let us know how the above goes and we'll take it from there. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
