AaronJB Posted September 24, 2014 Report Posted September 24, 2014 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)Please confirm the date/s of travel and we would be happy to take a look at the above post and research the listing. Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
lcpalmer03 Posted September 24, 2014 Author Report Posted September 24, 2014 Dates are February 23-March 3. Thanks!
thereuare Posted September 24, 2014 Report Posted September 24, 2014 I believe there are more amenities then what you have posted above as HOTWIRE has a new interface that does not show the complete set of amenities unless you click thru a few extra links. If you repeat your search using our BiddingHelper.com tool... use the HOTWIRE EASY VIEW tab and then click the GREEN BUTTON next to this listing, do you see more amenities then what you have listed above? Using this method, below is the full list of amenities i'm seeing for the 4 star hotel in this zone when searching for your dates: Free Internet Resort Beachfront Fitness Pool Restaurant Business Hi-Speed Internet Spa Blind Accessible Deaf Accessible Travel Accessible Room Accessible Bathroom Accessible Handicapped Parking Roll-in Shower ... if this is what you're seeing, my best guess for this one would be the Sandpearl Resort (with a less likely, but still possible, guess of the Hyatt Regency as an outside chance as well) Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. lcpalmer03 Posted September 24, 2014 Author Report Posted September 24, 2014 We actually have a family of 2 adults and 3 kids...Do you think we would be OK booking this?
thereuare Posted September 24, 2014 Report Posted September 24, 2014 I see the same property (and at the same price) appear when searching for 2adults/2children so at the very least i would book this way as quad occupancy as opposed to only two adults (as this way you'll only be one over the limit rather than three over the limit). How many rooms do you usually book when traveling as a family and how do you handle the bedding accommodations? How old are your kids? lcpalmer03 Posted September 24, 2014 Author Report Posted September 24, 2014 I was planning on the quad occupancy. Our kids are 11, 8, and 5. All three kids could sleep together or one could even sleep with us. We aren't that picky. Worse came scenario, we put one on the floor with a sleeping bag. Will it pose a problem when it comes to wristbands for the pool area though? (If it is indeed the Sandpearl.)
thereuare Posted September 25, 2014 Report Posted September 25, 2014 If wristbands are required (or anything more than a room key) for any services then booking for less than your true occupancy could pose an issue. You could try emailing the hotel and asking: I have a room booked for 2adults/2children... our 5 year old was due to stay with a friend (or a baby sitter, etc.) but those plans have now fallen through. We would like to bring our 5 year old with us and s/he will use existing bedding. Would there be any additional charge (or what would the fee be to upgrade our standard room to a room that will accommodate five people) if we are unable to find alternate coverage for our 5 year old and s/he comes with us. Obviously a risk involved, but one you can decide if the savings for this offer warrant the risk. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
