yellowdog Posted September 23, 2014 Report Posted September 23, 2014 Welcome to BetterBidding! Please post your date(s) for the stay and we'll be happy to take a look at this. Also, I believe there may have been more amenities than you listed in your post. HOTWIRE has a new interface which is not currently showing the complete set of amenities at the usual point of the search process. Please run a new search using our BiddingHelper.com tool at the top of this page. Once the search is completed, use the EASY VIEW TAB and click the GREEN BUTTON next to this listing to view the complete set of amenities. Then copy and paste the amenities, as well as the price, in a reply to this thread. Please use the PRICELINE and hot.wire links on the board to begin your purchases and searches.

thereuare Posted September 23, 2014 Report Posted September 23, 2014 A new amenity set for the Hard Rock would be my guess for this one, but i'd wait for AaronJB to comment as he is local to this area and may be able to offer more insight and/or increased confidence in this guess. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. PS- i've send him a message asking him to have a look at this thread. AaronJB Posted September 23, 2014 Report Posted September 23, 2014 I'm seeing a 4.5/5 tripadvisor rating, so I'd guess possibly the Wit or maybe a new amenity set for the Monaco. While this listing has not yet been ID'd/reported to the board, with a 4.5/5 tripadvisor rating, it certainly does get solid reviews. I'm also seeing what appears to be the W Lakeshore - which was recently renovated - for $194. Let us know if that hotel would be of interest and if you have additional questions. Also, please let me know if you have any Chicago city questions. Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
cousinkap Posted September 23, 2014 Author Report Posted September 23, 2014 What would you guys recommend for a 4* in the loop? I've never been to Chicago before.
AaronJB Posted September 23, 2014 Report Posted September 23, 2014 Keep in mind that the South and West portions of the Loop area may be quiet-to-very quiet later in the evening. The Mag Mile/RN area and the Mag Mile N-WT areas on Hot.wire (which are the River North-NMA area on Price.line) have more going on at night, more restaurants/nightlife. What would be your desired max budget per night for this stay? With a 4.5/5 tripadvisor rating, the Loop hotel certainly gets great reviews and wouldn't be a bad choice if it is the Monaco, Wit or Hard Rock, all of which are a reasonable distance to the Mag Mile area. Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
cousinkap Posted September 23, 2014 Author Report Posted September 23, 2014 I would like to see the sites. the bean, some restaurants, etc. etc. whereever you guys recommend would be awesome.
AaronJB Posted September 24, 2014 Report Posted September 24, 2014 Some of what I'm seeing: 4* Mag Mile-RN $203 (the price you see may vary slightly) Boutique, Restaurant, Pool, Indoor Pool, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Laundry, Spa, Pet Friendly. This is likely the W Lakeshore, which was recently renovated. If you like hip, trendy hotels, you might like this boutique property. I don't recommend Navy Pier, but this is an easy walk from it and you can take a quick shortcut to get to Millennium Park/the Bean. 4* Loop $233. Boutique, Restaurant, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Laundry, Room Accessible, Bathroom Accessible, Pet Friendly. As noted above, this listing hasn't been ID'd/reported to the board, but if the Monaco, Wit or Hard Rock, all three fine possibilities. 4* Downtown-Millennium Park-GP $243. Boutique, Restaurant, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Spa, Bathroom Accessible, Roll-in Shower, Pet Friendly. Likely the Burnham. One of Chicago's most architecturally significant buildings, beautifully restored into a Kimpton boutique property. Would any of these be of interest? Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
cousinkap Posted February 7, 2015 Author Report Posted February 7, 2015 Please provide a follow-up for your prior Chicago Hotwire thread (post what you decided for that stay within that thread, then reply to this thread and we would be happy to take a look at the above post.) Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Unfortunately, I was unable to take that trip because my dad got was hospitalized. Sorry for not posting that in that thread.
AaronJB Posted February 8, 2015 Report Posted February 8, 2015 Thank you for closing the thread. Hope everything was okay with your father.
