I was fully expecting to get the Holiday Inn Select La Mirada since it looks like that property comes up alot and had a price of $89/night per their website. GCM Posted December 8, 2005 Author Report Share Posted December 8, 2005 I originally bidded $40 and it was rejected but with a 'suggestion' that if I bidded $12 more I would have a better chance. I first tried to enter an amount less than $12 but got an error message saying that I needed to bid higher by at least $12. Since this was my only PL account and I needed the room I went ahead and plugged in $52 knowing I would probably get it. Since I was doing this from work I didn't have time to try the free re-bidding techniques using different zones and star levels but overall I'm pretty happy with the rate compared to the rate the hotel was charging ($129).
