Bob7
We went for this so far ahead b/c in the peak spring season it's so hard to find any deals in the Scottsdale and south areas, especially during baseball spring training weeks. The amenities listed by HW were free parking, suite, restaurant, free breakfast, free a/p shuttle, free net, fitness, pets allowed, and pool(s). The HW definition of "suite" was a larger room with extra seating etc geared for extended stays. Looking at the four 3* hotels in the BB list we found that the only one with rooms fitting that description was the Hyatt Place, so we thought we were getting that. But when the win came thru it was the above hotel, that used to be a 2.5*, so it has been upgraded. Judging by reviews that upgrade is questionable. The "recovery tax charges and fees" totalled $23 per room per night. Room price that date on the hotel web site is $142.My wife apologizes to BB for neglecting to use the HOTWIRE link on BB, she forgot that step, but knows how useful BB is. We did use the link for our FL trip in Dec. Link to comment

Looking at the four 3* hotels in the BB list we found that the only one with rooms fitting that description was the Hyatt Place, so we thought we were getting that.Sorry to see you didn't receive the hotel you were hoping for, but note that the amenities of the Hyatt Place in the Hotwire Hotel List don't match those above, so that would have been the first clue that this was some other property (as well, the Hyatt Place does not have a Restaurant, so that would have been a second (and confirming) clue that this was some other property). Feel free to ask the board for help/confirmation of what you think you may be about to purchase before your next 'opaque' hotel booking. Also, I believe there were likely more amenities then what you have posted above as HOTWIRE has a new interface that does not show the complete set of amenities unless you click thru a few extra links. For future searches/bookings you can do the following to ensure you're seeing the complete list: 1) use the EASY VIEW tab of our BiddingHelper.com and click the green 'See All Amenities' button OR 2) search HOTWIRE (or use the HOTWIRE tab at BiddingHelper.com) and...click the offeron the next page click the BOOK NOW linkin the TRIP SUMMARY box click the 'See more' link at the end of the amenitiesThank you for sharing your win with the board and helping us update the Hotwire Hotel List with the new star rating for this property. Please try to remember to use the requested PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your future travel purchases. Enjoy your stay. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment

Bob7
Do you remember if this was listed as boutique? Or did it have % recommendation?Boutique was not an ammenity, and under % recommended it said "still gathering reviews". You can still pull up the Hot.Wire listing for it, use dates of Mar 14-17, 2015, it's the Tempe-ASU 3*, $78. Link to comment
