Used your priceline and HOTWIRE links. Just wanted your opinion on what you think the hotels may be. Thanks for your time!
changbot Posted September 12, 2014 Author Report Posted September 12, 2014 Not sure if I should post again in the Priceline topic, but Priceline had similar results only showing two hotels at $164 and $230 per night. Do you think those would correlate to the same hotels on Hotwire (just a couple dollars difference)? $164Guaranteed Amenities: Free Internet in room Outdoor Swimming Pool Pets Allowed Restaurant Business Center Fitness Center $230Guaranteed Amenities: Outdoor Swimming Pool Free Parking Restaurant Business Center Casino Fitness Center
yellowdog Posted September 12, 2014 Report Posted September 12, 2014 Welcome to BetterBidding :)For the HOTWIRE hotels. I think there may be more amenities associated with the hotels. If you go back to HOTWIRE and click this offer to get to the details page, then on the details page click the BOOK NOW button, to the right of the ensuing page under TRIP SUMMARY hover your mouse over the 'See more' link... do you see more amenities then what you included above? And please post the star rating for the PRICELINE EXPRESS hotels. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your purchases and searches.Yellowdog.
hlywd Posted September 12, 2014 Report Posted September 12, 2014 I am very interested in the answer to this question. I am heading to Vegas for the exact same dates, also looking at 5* hotels, and also get the exact same results. I've been looking for sometime now, and have noticed that over the last couple days I have been getting emails saying that the prices have dropped for the weekend I'm looking for. I do have rooms reserved at the Bellagio, but if I can get a better deal, I can always cancel those reservations. My fingers are crossed that someone out there can identify the hotels....I'd love to save a bit of cash! This is also my first time posting Thank you in advance.
thereuare Posted September 12, 2014 Report Posted September 12, 2014 changbot, What is it that you are looking for from a hotel this trip? (are there any specific hotels you're looking for??) changbot Posted September 13, 2014 Author Report Posted September 13, 2014 Thanks for your help and quick reply! I went back through the hotwire hotels and updated all the amenities (thanks for the tip!): 5* North Strip area hotel $162 ($164 now) (Most likely Trump International Hotel)Amenities Free Parking Free Internet Spa Services Resort Pet friendly Smoke Free Rooms Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Internet access Golf Nearby Tennis Nearby Kitchenette 5* North Strip area CASINO hotel $233 ($231 now)Amenities Free Parking Free Internet Resort Suite Casino Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Self service laundry Internet access Golf Nearby Tennis Nearby Spa Services Accessible for the blind Accessible for the deaf Accessible path of travel In-room accessibility Accessible bathroom Handicapped parking Roll-in shower 5* North Strip area hotel $309 ($303 now)Amenities Free Parking Suite Casino Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Internet access Golf Nearby Spa Services Accessible for the deaf Accessible path of travel In-room accessibility Accessible bathroom Handicapped parking Roll-in shower 5* North Strip area RESORT $284 ($280 now)Amenities Free Parking Free Internet Resort Suite Casino Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Internet access Golf Nearby Tennis Nearby Spa Services Accessible for the blind Accessible for the deaf Accessible path of travel In-room accessibility Accessible bathroom Handicapped parking Roll-in shower The priceline express deals were 5* hotels on the north strip as well. For my trip, I am looking for a really nice hotel at the lowest cost, for the most part. We want to stay on the strip, and are not too picky as to what 5* hotel we get (but probably won't choose the Trump). The Wynn or Venetian would certainly be nice! Thanks again!

changbot Posted September 13, 2014 Author Report Posted September 13, 2014 So we decided to go with the $164 room/night and ended up getting the Trump International! Pretty much what we expected. Eventhough we originally did not want the trump, it was ultimately the cheapest 5* hotel (next costing $70 more). With tax recovery charges and fees ended up being almost $200 a night, resort fee not included. Not too bad. We are happy with our choice, and hopefully can upgrade our room using the $20 trick! Really glad I found this site. Thanks everyone for the help! Will definitely use this site again for future traveling.
AaronJB Posted September 14, 2014 Report Posted September 14, 2014 Congrats on your success. :) Definitely not a bad win for this Vegas property and glad you are pleased with the result! We look forward to helping with future stays. Thank you for sharing your win and using the site's PRICELINE or HOTWIRE links to start your purchases and searches. Enjoy your stay.
