Retail rates for the Intercontinental are $179, so a reasonable savings though not huge.

Also, FYI, the Epic has now been also uprated on Hotwire retail to 5*.  On the opaque side for this date, there was a listing for a 5* with an amenity set that exactly matched the last reported set for the Epic.  But I decided to go with the 4.5* deal instead.
