Hey this is my first time posting so sorry if I'm in the wrong place. I am also interested in New York in october for a similar 120 - 150 US budget. i have been bidding through your links for the last couple of days. is there any point in bidding every day or does Priceline not update in that way. i.e. do you just bid once a week and then maybe more frequently nearer the time?

Also are we saying that budget in New York is basicallly impossible in October, in which case we'd be better off with an apartment rental etc

cheers jeremy

What are the date/s of travel? What bids have you made so far in terms of star rating and zone?

Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.

Thanks Aaron.

Dates would be 5 October to 9 October (can also do 10th). So far I have bid all Manhattan zones and the Brooklyn zone in the region of $110. Flexible on zones and would prefer a 4, 4.5 or 5, but suppose i need to get real and accept 3star?

Basically before I spend more time on this am i wasting my time and being unreaslitic?

Thanks

Jeremy

Currently you can get a 3* in Brooklyn (or Long Island City) at $150 or less... but something in Manhattan at 3* or better will likely cost you closer to $165-$185/nite.

Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.

Let us know if/how you'd like to proceed and we'll advise accordingly.

Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
