Spokane Strange Posted August 21, 2014 Report Posted August 21, 2014 I am staying at my regular NOLA hotel (Chateau LeMoyne) in the French Quarter during the weekdays, but they are jacking the rates on the weekend to $173 for Friday night and $300 for Saturday night. I said, "not paying that," and went to Price.line to get a good deal for a Friday and Saturday night. I came up with the Marriott near the Convention Center. It is a little bit of a walk to the French Quarter, but it is in a nice neighborhood with a couple restaurants and bars. I imagine this hotel caters more toward the convention crowd and has plenty of vacancy on weekends.
