allstar13
Hello, I will be traveling to Vegas from Sept 10 to 14th to celebrate the end of a contract job. Right now, I am looking in the North Strip Area, but I am open to other suggestions. Have I identified the following properties correctly? I would try to name my own price on Priceline like I've done in the past, but now that the Trump Hotel is 5*, I'm afraid it would suck up any bids that I would make toward TI or the Wynn, Ventian or Palazzo. Do you have any other suggestions? And I'm clicked both the Price.line and HOTWIRE links to begin my searches. Thank you for your help! North Strip Area Resort 4* (Possibly SLS?) Las Vegas, Nevada, United States of America • Sep 10 - Sep 14 • 1 room • 2 adults $94/night Amenities Resort Casino Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Internet access Golf Nearby North Strip Area Casino Hotel 4* (Possibly TI?) $163/night 90% recommended Amenities Free Parking Free Internet Resort Casino Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Link to comment
thereuare
My guess for the first property would be the SLS. For the second property, I believe there are more amenities then what you have posted above as HOTWIRE has a new interface that does not show the complete set of amenities unless you click thru a few extra links. If you repeat your search using our BiddingHelper.com tool... use the HOTWIRE EASY VIEW tab and then click the GREEN BUTTON next to this listing, do you see more amenities then what you have listed above? Using this method below is the full amenity set i'm seeing when searching for your dates: Free Parking Free Internet Resort Casino Fitness Pool Restaurant Business Hi-Speed Internet Golf Tennis Spa Blind Accessible Deaf Accessible Travel Accessible Room Accessible Bathroom Accessible Handicapped Parking Roll-in Shower ... if this is what you're seeing i'd agree that Tresure Island is the best guess for this one. Your other option(s) are to bid on PRICELINE for the Strip South zone and/or search PRICELINE EXPRESS and choose a hotel that shows a Casino amenity (currently metro6 will take an additional 5% OFF) Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Let us know what you decide and how it goes or how we can be of further help. allstar13
So after looking at my budget, I wonder if it might not be better to maybe go the week before, 9/3-9/7. This way we also miss the sky high prices because of the Mayweather Fight. Right now with the Better bidding tool I see two hotels 5* in the North Strip Area. For $139/nightFULL AMENITIES: Free Parking, Free Internet, Resort, Suite, Casino, Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, <b>Self service laundry,<b> Internet access, Golf Nearby, Tennis Nearby, Spa Services, Accessible for the blind, Accessible for the deaf, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Handicapped parking, Roll-in shower For $159/nightFULL AMENITIES: Free Parking, Free Internet, Resort, Suite, Casino, Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, Internet access, Golf Nearby, Tennis Nearby, Spa Services, Accessible for the blind, Accessible for the deaf, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Handicapped parking, Roll-in shower For the more expensive property, I'm assuming it is the Palazzo or the Venetian. But I've never seen Self Service laundry before However when I use the Regular Hotwire Search, an additional property comes up: $186/nightAmenities Free Parking Casino Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Internet access Golf Nearby Tennis Nearby I believe this is possibly the Wynn or Encore. There is also a 4* that I believe to be TI: $83/nightFree Parking, Free Internet, Resort, Casino, Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, Internet access, Golf Nearby, Tennis Nearby, Spa Services, Accessible for the blind, Accessible for the deaf, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Handicapped parking, Roll-in shower Any suggestions or help you could give would be appreciated. There are several other 4* properties that are very affordable and might be good options. Do you think it would be better to go cheap at TI or splurge and possibly get the Venetian or Encore? Thanks for the help! Link to comment
thereuare
Do you think it would be better to go cheap at TI or splurge and possibly get the Venetian or Encore? To get started i think you first need to decide what type of experience it is that you would like for this stay... the TI is certainly acceptable, but the 5 star hotels will give you an extra level of luxury and comfort. (ie- any car can take you to your destination, but a (BMW, Mercedes, Ferrari, etc) provide a different experience... you have to decide what it is that you want for this stay) Once you decide what you want from this trip let us know your budget and we'll take a look at the available offers. allstar13
I think I would rather have luxury. With a budget of under $200/night on hotel. Thank you for all your help too! Link to comment
thereuare
Currently there are no 5* hotels within your budget on HOTWIRE. If all of the 5* hotels in the Strip South zone are acceptable you could try bidding in that zone, but as discussed above, bidding the Strip North zone wouldn't work since you're looking to avoid the Trump. The least expensive 5* hotel in the Strip North zone is currently $260/nite for your dates. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. allstar13
I'm sorry, I changed my dates to 9/3-9/7 since the prices for the previous dates were too expensive. Is there a way to change my post title to reflect this? And thank you again for all your help.Mike Link to comment

allstar13
As a final question, do you think the Palazzo or the Venetian is the better property? Mike Link to comment
AaronJB
Both get excellent reviews and potential Venetian for $20 less is a compelling deal. I'd suggest reading tripadvisor reviews and making a decision which of the two will work better for your needs. thereuare
As a final question, do you think the Palazzo or the Venetian is the better property? My opinion: For the same price i would take the Palazzo... if $10 or more difference i would take the Venetian. Both are almost identical, but the Palazzo is a little newer. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
