Hello,

Please help with ID of Schaumburg area hotel!

Hotwire

2 star

$28/night

Kitchenette

Coin operated Laundry

Could this be Homeseated Suites?

I am new to this board but have looked through a lot of posts, looks like it could be Homestead. I visited that hotel last night to check out the rooms, they said the best they could do for 21 nights would be $45.99, and $75 for each of my dogs. I need a place to stay in between closings for my old & new home.

We went to look at one of the rooms and a man who happened to be at the front desk checking in follwed us down the hallway and stopped us. Said he had just booked a room on Hotwire for $33/night and also said to check out this site(which I catually did last week).

Any help would be great!

Thanks,

Melissa

Welcome to BetterBidding!

Those are the amenities most often associated with Homestead prpoerties. Unfortunately this exact property has not yet been identified (where is the report from the other guest you met in the hall?!?!... although we are glad he referred you to us)

Since this is for such an extended stay (please include the actual dates of your stay in your next reply), but i gather this is for a 21 nite stay? One way to play this if you want to increase the chances that you'll get the Homestead is to make sure the same hotel shows up for the first nite (or two or four or six) and then for the balance of your stay. If the same amenities are shown for the 2* rated property then it is reasonable to assume that you're seeing the same hotel on both searches (although it's possible there are are two hotels with the same star rating and amenities and you're seeing each on your separate searches).

You can then buy the first nite (or two, or four, or six) in order to "look behind the curtain" and see the property's name... if it's the Homestead (or some other property you'd be happy with) then you can purchase the balance of your stay... if for some reason it's a property you're not happy with, you'll only need to be there for a nite (or two, or four, or six) and then can make alternate plans for the balance of your stay.

Hope the above makes sense, but feel free to ask any questions that you may have.

Let us konw what you decide to do or if we can be of further help.

Thanks for your reply and the information. The dates I will be staying are 12/16/05-1/6/06. I did as you suggested and pulled up two date ranges, one for 12/16-12/18 and the next for 12/18-1/6.

For the 12/16-12/18 stay I got a 2 star hotel in Schaumburg-Arlington Heights & vacinity for $25/night with Kitchenette & Laundry Facilities.

For the 12/18-1/6 stay I got the same thing but with a $30/night price tag.

I then did a search for the entire stay 12/16-1/6 and got the same thing with a $27/night price tag.

I'm not sure what to make of the price difference since I am not that familiar with Hotwire. Could this be the same place and just different prices? Or could I be getting different hotels?

Thanks,

Melissa
