thereuare Posted August 13, 2014 Report Posted August 13, 2014 Welcome to BetterBidding! Please keep all posts for the same stay in the same thread. Once you win a hotel use the 'ADD REPLY and REPORT WIN' button on the lower right corner of this page to provide the details of your purchase... the entire thread will be moved to the correct location (if necessary) There is a 2* on HOTWIRE for $45/nite with the following amenities (please include rate and amenity information in future HOTWIRE requests): Complimentary Breakfast Free Internet Fitness Pool Restaurant Business ... my guess for this one would be the River Park Hotel and Suites. However, i'll point out that this offer also has a low 2.5/5.0 TA rating. If this is acceptable do you want to: 1) take this offer 2) bid on PRICELINE for any hotel in the zone (and we should lower your maximum bid to $45/nite) Let us know your thoughts and how you'd like to proceed and we will take it from there. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
apa940 Posted August 13, 2014 Author Report Posted August 13, 2014 I would like to go with bidding on the priceline option from what I've seen on the priceline hotel list it appears the hotel should be the extended stay America in brickell does that sound right?
yellowdog Posted August 13, 2014 Report Posted August 13, 2014 I would like to go with bidding on the priceline option from what I've seen on the priceline hotel list it appears the hotel should be the extended stay America in brickell does that sound right?extended stay America in brickell is reported to the board but there's nothing that guarantees that you'll get this hotel. There could be other new/re-rated hotels not reported to the board. So we can help you with a strategy. What is max budget/night for a DT hotel before tax/fee's? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your purchases and searches. Yellowdog.
apa940 Posted August 13, 2014 Author Report Posted August 13, 2014 $50 which is why i'm searching 2 star but if I could get a nicer hotel for $10 more a night i could possibly do that
yellowdog Posted August 14, 2014 Report Posted August 14, 2014 Before we move on. I took a look at PRICELINE EXPRESS and there's a 2* $56 (Free Breakfast, Free Internet in room, Pets Allowed) that I believe is the extended stay America in brickell. Would you like to go for that or would you like to take a chance with the bidding? Let us know and we'll go from there Please use the PRICELINE and hot.wire links on the board to begin your purchases and searches. Yellowdog.
apa940 Posted August 14, 2014 Author Report Posted August 14, 2014 I went to priceline to book the 2 star express deal and its now gone. Would you suggest watching for it to come back? Does that happen often??
AaronJB Posted August 14, 2014 Report Posted August 14, 2014 Sometimes a PRICELINE EXPRESS deal will come back, but while you wait, rates may go up in general. It's best to hope that a deal comes back but proceed as if it wasn't and try to look at alternates. Are there any other listings of interest? Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
apa940 Posted August 15, 2014 Author Report Posted August 15, 2014 Ok then we can go back to bidding on a 2 star downtown on Priceline my max budget is $60 could I get assistance with this
apa940 Posted August 15, 2014 Author Report Posted August 15, 2014 Did PRICELINE EXPRESS deal 2* $57 (Free Breakfast, Free Internet in room, Pets Allowed) downtown miami hotel it was the Extended Stay America in Brickell I actually needed the hotel beginning on 8/29/14 when i went to book that date was no longer available so i checked the next date 8/30/14- 9/2/14 that was available and i booked i will book a single date at regular rate and keep watching for the express deal and hope it returns to book that additional day and cancel the full rate reservation and I would just notify front desk we have 2 seperate reservations when checking in. I phoned the hotel and they let me know this would be fine and no need to check out and check back in. I am pleased with the rate of $57/night as the regular rate is $114/night thanks for your assistance I am loving this site
