yellowdog Posted August 5, 2014 Report Posted August 5, 2014 Welcometo BetterBidding! For all hotels. I believe there may have been more amenities than you listed in your post. HOTWIRE has a new interface which is not currently showing the complete set of amenities at the usual point of the search process. Please run a new search using our BiddingHelper.com tool at the top of this page. Once the search is completed, use the EASY VIEW TAB and click the GREEN BUTTON next to this listing to view the complete set of amenities. Then copy and paste the amenities, as well as the price, in a reply to this thread and we will then have a look at this offer. Please use the PRICELINE and hot.wire links on the board to begin your purchases and searches. Yellowdog.

AaronJB Posted August 5, 2014 Report Posted August 5, 2014 The Ivy and Hyatt are located a block or two from each other, so between those two it's more what you would prefer - the Ivy is a newer property with only a few rooms per floor (a boutique with more personalized service.) The Hyatt is a very nice business oriented property with rooms that are a little bigger than average as rooms go in the city. I'm seeing the 4.5* River North amenity set: Pet FriendlyFitnessRestaurantBusinessHi-Speed InternetBlind AccessibleDeaf AccessibleTravel AccessibleRoom AccessibleBathroom AccessibleHandicapped ParkingRoll-in Shower This amenity set has not yet been ID'd/reported to the board, but a new amenity set for the Intercontinental would be a guess. When I search for 2 adults, 2 children, the 4.5* showing in the Mag Mile-RN area with pool (among other amenities) would very likely be the Intercontinental. I'll also note that there are a bunch of hotels regular rate (on the regular rate side of HOTWIRE) around these levels that are also worthy of consideration, as HOTWIRE is showing cheaper regular rates for a number of properties vs Expedia for these dates. Compelling options include the Godfrey ($142, which is a very new property in a very sleek building), Omni (suite, right on Michigan Ave - $149), Kinzie (notably higher at $174, but you get breakfast.) The Indigo Gold Coast is a 3.5*, but a nice one for $114. Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
