traze Posted August 12, 2014 Report Posted August 12, 2014 Hi there: I would like to bid on a room in NYC (ideally MTE 4*) for October 16-20th. We will have three people in the room, but know that Priceline bids are based on double occupancy. I am wondering if anyone has had issues adding another person to a room in NYC after a successful bid? Thank you
AaronJB Posted August 12, 2014 Report Posted August 12, 2014 You will probably not have an issue with the aspect of three people, but will very likely end up with one bed. Would that be an acceptable risk? Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
traze Posted August 12, 2014 Author Report Posted August 12, 2014 Thanks for your quick response. We would definitely need two beds so this may not be an option for us.
AaronJB Posted August 12, 2014 Report Posted August 12, 2014 If you need more than one bed, options are Hot.wire - you can search for the amount of people and that should result in more than one bed. That may be 1 + rollaway, 1 + sofa or 2 beds. The other option is that some PRICELINE EXPRESS listings note "bed choice" - you can look to see if any that offer bed choice include an option for 2 beds. Unfortunately, with NYC, 2 beds often go for a premium and these listings with bed choice often are variations on one bed. Please let us know what you decide and if you have additional questions. Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
