sunshinecity Posted December 1, 2005 Report Posted December 1, 2005 I want to book a room at either the Bellagio, Venetian, or the Wynn for April 14th to April 18th 2006. Any idea on how to get the best rate, prefer under $150 per night? Please let me know
thereuare Posted December 1, 2005 Report Posted December 1, 2005 Welcome to BetterBidding! You can not bid on a specific hotel, the best you could do is bid for a 5* hotel in the strip zone. To date only the Venetian has been reported at this star level in this zone, but it is always possible you will be the first to report a new hotel.Usually the next question people ask is "what other 5* hotels could there possibly be?" Well... the Bellagio is the next likely suspect, but i suppose the Four Seasons (top floors of Madalay Bay could also be included in that group, although i doubt that the Four Seasons is a priceline participant)If you can accept the above provision that you're bidding for a star rating within a pre-defined boundry, are you willing to SPLIT YOUR BID?Let us know and we'll advise accordingly. sunshinecity Posted February 9, 2006 Author Report Posted February 9, 2006 Just booked Venetian for $189 per night for a 4 night stay in April (Friday check-in until Tuesday check-out). Is this considered a good rate? I can always cancel it, it's on my credit card.Thanks.
thereuare Posted February 9, 2006 Report Posted February 9, 2006 Are the dates still as above? (please keep all posts for the same stay in the same thread)Thru what service did you book or direct at the Venetian's website? runNgun Posted February 9, 2006 Report Posted February 9, 2006 I'm guessing 4/14 for 4 nights???? If so Hotwire is $184 so I'd say priceline is $159 or $169. If it's any other weekend in April, $189 is a great deal.
sunshinecity Posted February 9, 2006 Author Report Posted February 9, 2006 it's 4/14 to 4/18. Do you think $189 is a good deal? I booked directly through hotel. Everytime I try Priceline they neg my bid and say I can bid $189 on 5* which is same as I did through hotel anyway.
sunshinecity Posted March 28, 2006 Author Report Posted March 28, 2006 Hi, thinking about trying Pricline for a 5* hotel from April 14th to April 18th. I have a reservation on hold with the Venetian for $179 a night. I would like to try Priceline but want to know what hotels come up in the 5* range --is it definitely the Venetian or do they pass off crappier hotels as 5 star as well --like Rio or Mirage. Thanks.
thereuare Posted March 28, 2006 Report Posted March 28, 2006 All hotels already reported are found in our PRICELINE HOTEL LIST.If you would like help with a bidding strategy let us know your maximum bid and we will suggest a strategy for you to follow.
