Can't say I'm excited about this one, reviews on Hotwire are at 50%.  Luckily, I have other options and don't mind missing out on the $60, if it turns out to be completely unacceptable.  There's a major convention in town and hotel rooms are few.  Priceline actually ranks this as a 1* hotel.  >.<

Sorry to hear this one is a disappointment... while this property may be overrated by HOTWIRE (or underrated by PRICELINE), it does have a 3.5/5.0 TA rating so will hopefully at least suit your needs for the nite.

There there two Extended Stay properties in this zone (almost right next to each other):

Extended Stay America - Detroit - Ann Arbor - Briarwood Mall (Briarwood Circle)

Extended Stay America - Detroit - Ann Arbor - University South (Boardwalk)

... can you please add a reply to this thread confirming which one it is that you received.

If you do show up and it's unacceptable i would call HOTWIRE from the hotel and let them know that you have arrived and mention the reasons you find it unacceptable (as well as the star rating of competitive sites) to see if they are willing to refund the purchase (they are more inclined to make an exception to their no refund policy if you have at least showed up at the hotel and can provide them reasons why it's not acceptable, rather than 'i read ____ on the internet')
