cirbz Posted August 7, 2014 Report Posted August 7, 2014 Hey guys, I'm really new to this Page and also to priceline. The last days i tried to figure out what hotel i want in Amsterdam and since there are a lot of really good hotels in City Center i thought i would give it a shot. So i need a Hotel from 20oct 2014 - 23oct 2014. Do you have any suggestions on how much i should bid? I thought something around 105$ but i might be way off.I think i can't rebid on this zone since there are 4 Star hotels on every region in Amsterdam. I really hope you can help me out here :). Thanks in advance
AaronJB Posted August 7, 2014 Report Posted August 7, 2014 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)What would be your desired max bid per night for this stay? Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
cirbz Posted August 7, 2014 Author Report Posted August 7, 2014 Hm good question :) Since this is a birthday gift for my girlfriend i think i would go up to 150$ or maybe a little bit more. But i have to say that i already found some deals in that area and thought i would give NYOP a shot.
thereuare Posted August 8, 2014 Report Posted August 8, 2014 You are correct that there are no re-bid zones available in this region when bidding the 4* level. With time on your side, and no re-bid zones, i would start at $120 and increase your bid by $5 every 24 hours as you'll then be up to $150 in a week's time. I am see what looks to be The Convent Hotel Amsterdam on HOTWIRE for $160/nite should this be of any interest. What is the best deal you've found thru conventional booking channels? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or the links in our Support Page for your hotel direct purchases. cirbz Posted August 8, 2014 Author Report Posted August 8, 2014 I found a deal for the M Gallery the Convent Hotel for 160$ per night. In my time area they also offer a stay 3 pay 2 promo so i would have to pay around 105$ BUT i also found some better deals for that region so i guess price bidding wouldn't be the best option in this case. Or am i wrong?
thereuare Posted August 8, 2014 Report Posted August 8, 2014 I see the 3 for 2 deal at AccorHotels but the rate i'm seeing for your dates is $205/nite (after the discount), so i'd confirm that bottomline rate you're seeing for your dates. Assuming you're booking this direct, please use the board's Accor link to begin your purchase. Let us know whatever you decide for this stay or if we can be of further help.
