Hi,

I am trying everything to try to identify this hotel, I think it is the westin beach resort but not sure. It says today when I logged in the last person got the Sonestra hotel, which I am trying to avoid! It is $113/night, booking with 2 adults, 2kids. 90% recommended.

Dates aug 14-18

Hi Aaron, thank you so much. Zone is Fort Lauderdale beach. Now it is showing as 116/nigh, and amenities changed ,to:

Resort

Pool(s)

Restaurant(s)

Business Center

Internet access

I believe there may have been more amenities than you listed in your post. HOTWIRE has a new interface which is not currently showing the complete set of amenities at the usual point of the search process.

Please run a new search using our BiddingHelper.com tool at the top of this page. Once the search is completed, use the EASY VIEW TAB and click the GREEN BUTTON next to this listing to view the complete set of amenities.

This is what I see when replicating your search,

Resort

Pet Friendly

Near Beach

Smoke Free

Fitness

Pool

Restaurant

Business

Laundry

Hi-Speed Internet

Tennis

Spa

Childrens Activities

Blind Accessible

Deaf Accessible

Travel Accessible

Room Accessible

Bathroom Accessible

Handicapped Parking

Roll-in Shower

If this is what you see would my best guess be Westin Beach Resort.

You can, but availability isn't guaranteed - you may try and the service says no.  Additionally, I'm not sure if HOTWIRE's add a night is like PRICELINE's, where you can only add as many nights as the original reservation.

The other option is to see if what appears to be the same hotel is showing when you search for the first night and the remainder separately. The only problem is that there is the risk that you could book the one night and the remaining nights may no longer available.

Overall, whenever you split up the booking, there is always the risk that something could go wrong/suddenly be no longer available and you may wind up at two different hotels.

The "last person got..." is not necessarily the underlying hotel, it is the last hotel that someone won at that star rating in that zone in general.

The 4* in the Beach area that you mention above (Resort, Near Beach, Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Smoke Free, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Laundry, Tennis, Spa, Childrens Activities, Blind Accessible, Deaf Accessible, Travel Accessible, Room Accessible, Bathroom Accessible, Handicapped Parking, Roll-in Shower, Pet Friendly) has been seen with the Westin previously, so that would be my guess as well.

Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
