Priceline Hotel: Vancouver 8/8 and Victoria, B.C. 8/09-10

Need accommodations for above....is it do-able since it's last minute.

First, please provide a follow-up for your prior San Diego Hotwire and Maui Hotwire threads (post what you decided for those stays within those threads, then reply to this thread and we will be happy to look into the above post.)

 

Additionally, we'll use this thread for the Vancouver stay, then please start a new thread for the Victoria stay.

 

Please provide more specifics about both stays - desired budget per night, desired star rating, acceptable zones (do you have any plans where you need to be/would like to be convenient to anything?)

Did not book Hotwire for SD or Maui. Was not good options.

Budget is $100-125; don't know much about locations so convenient & affordable are goals.

I am looking at going to Lynn Canyon/chinatown/gastown/granville island & stanley park on Friday 8/8 & Saturday so looking to spend $125 in downtown area---or nearby.

It's a last minute trip with flights already so I am not too picky...so looking to save $$.

There are TWO 'downtown' zones in the Vancouver region... are both the 'Coal Harbor' and the 'Entertainment/Shopping District' zones acceptable?

At current rates i'm doubtful that you will be successful for a 4* hotel at $125 or under... i think you're more likely looking at the $140-$160 area.

I ended up not using PRICELINE since concern with needing 2 queen for family of 4.

Got a really good rate with Expedia.

When PRICELINE / HOTWIRE don't work for a particular stay, please book thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com OR with the links in our Support Page where we have links to most of the major hotel chains and online booking agencies, including Expedia.
