rxmaker Posted August 3, 2014 Report Posted August 3, 2014 Tried to get Wingate 2.5 stars IAH but shuddered due to bad past experience when I got La Quinta IAH south. Used PRICELINE bidding $42 for IAH and 2.5 stars with no luck. Given 2nd chance offer by PRICELINE for $52. Elected to try again at 2.5 stars, added Medical Center area, raised bid to $47, accepted. Lowest online price was $90 per night, rated 4.4/5 at tripadvisor with 83% thumbs up, ranked #54 of 451 Houston Hotels, Wingate I was trying to get was only #156. Looks like this La Quinta will be much better than my first experience with them - lets hope!
