With the limited number of hotels in the city and a pretty good idea of what properties were at stake, I decided to try to undercut it a little by using NYOP. Started at $45. It rejected my bid, but said I could up my bid $18 to secure a win. Knew the sweet spot was somewhere in between. Added a zone, upped to $50. No dice. Added a zone, upped to $55, for the win. Before bidding $55, I seriously considered $54. Now I'll never know if I could have saved that one dollar. :)
