Priceline Hotel: Descriptions and stars for Sheraton Maui (Kaanapali - Lahaina) bidding

I'm confused because i thought when you offered the bid amount they responded with a description before you won, but their terms/conditions state that if you win you have to accept based on stars only - can someone please clarify?  this is our first time doing this and looking for the hotel Sheraton Maui (Kaanapali - Lahaina) and also will be trying for one on the Big Island (either Kona or further north in the beach area - torn because we dive, but also want to do other activities - were told the diving is best by Kona and unsure if driving there each day would be frustrating or worth it to get sandy beach time up north?)

There are three main services that are usually referenced on the board:

PRICELINE bidding - you choose the minimum star rating, zone(s), and bid amount. If PRICELINE finds a hotel (at the minimum star rating you designate) to accept your bid price they book the hotel, your reservation is confirmed, and they tell you the name. You don't get a chance to review the hotel or know any of the amenities/services offered at the property.

PRICELINE EXPRESS and HOTWIRE - the price is shown along with the star rating, zone and amenities... but not the hotel name. You can review the offers and decide if any of the hotel(s) offered would meet your needs based upon the amenities offered (as well as use this information to take a guess as to what hotel you think it is that is being offered). You only learn the hotel name after you agree to the price offered.

You may get lucky and the hotel you want is the one that happens to be offered for your dates, but the 'opaque' providers (where you learn the name after your purchase) work best when your plans are flexible and you're looking for a good deal at a hotel and don't have your heart set on a specific property.
