thereuare
If I name my own price on this what should I be planning to pay?Welcome to BetterBidding! Are you looking for a specific hotel for this stay OR the least expensive 4* or better for this trip? What is your maximum bid for a 4* hotel this stay? Are you only willing to bid the Strip South zone or is the Strip North zone acceptable as well? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. nproell82
I'm looking for the least expensive 4* or higher. I'd prefer to be on the South Strip but would also consider North Strip as I'm not scared of walking ( I live in AZ and am used to the heat). If it were possible to get South Strip for $60 a night I'd be happy. Link to comment
thereuare
Did you first want to try for a 4* hotel in the Strip South zone up to $60/nite... OR did you want to bid both the Strip North and Strip South zone in hopes for the least expensive 4* available for these nites? Please confirm and we will suggest a strategy for you to follow. nproell82
I'm going to guess I should first try the South Strip and then the North since I can only add a zone, correct? Yes I would like the least expensive 4* on the strip (north or south) Link to comment
thereuare
My guess is that $60 will likely fall short for a 4* hotel for these dates, but if you want to give it a try, you can try as follows: When bidding 4* in Las Vegas you have FOUR re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding. Select 4* Strip South... Bid $40, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $45, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $48, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINE... Select 4* Strip North... Bid $40, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $45, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $48, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINE... Select 4* Strip South and Strip North... Bid $50, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $53, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $55, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $58, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $60 Any questions feel free to ask (especially confirming your re-bid zones if you're new to the subject) Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. nproell82
Thanks for the info. I have been reading about adding zones that don't include the star level I want in order to maximixe the amount of bids. I will be trying this when I get home from work and will let you know how it goes. Thank you, Link to comment

nproell82
I ended up getting the Tropicana for 2 nights @ $94/night. A little more than I wanted to spend but it's still under $100 so that's fine with me. Link to comment
thereuare
Congratulations on your success! While more than you originally thought it would take, glad to see you came in under $100 and are happy with the results.
