Hotwire Hotel: March help

We are looking to go to Vegas either Mar 2-6 or March 11-15. I know the 11th is a Saturday and NasCar weekend so we could book the 11th seperate and move.

I am looking for any suggestions to save money. We would like to be on the strip and not at the Strat

Well we may go the 2-6 now, it is just price dependent on the best hotel.

What type of (star rating) property are you looking for? What is your budget?

I am not sure of the star rating but the Tropicana haas been fine for the past 2 years - but we would like to try something different. About the same or better - I have looked at the Barbary and Flamingo

Well it was around $89 per night. But I found a code for the Alladin for $79 per night for three of the nights. We are now looking at the 4-8 of March. Is it worth it to switch and what would be the best way to get a cheaper hotel on the strip for the 4th.

This is a Saturday nite, and many hotels on the strip don't allow saturday check-in.

I am sorry I think I may be confusing.

I am now just looking for the Saturday. I know many hotels don't allow Saturday - check in, but I was hoping that I could get something with priceine and switch hotels.

The problem with bidding for the lower star rated hotels on Priceline is that you could end up in the real North Strip... the area near the Stratosphere, Circus Circus, etc. Is that a risk you're willing to take?

Hotwire has a 3.5* on the strip for $144/nite (which appears to be Ballys... just a few dollars savings over booking direct on their website). Harrah's has a $150/nite rate on their website. Barbary Coast is $139/nite.

I ended up with the Aladdin for the Sun. Mon. and Tues of my stay and booked the Orleans for $115 through a price match with cheaptickets. Since I booked directly through the Orleans, I am hoping to keep trying for a 4 or 5 star and see what happens. Thanks for the help

Was the Aladdin thru Priceline or Hotwire... or did you book direct?

If from Priceline/Hotwire, can you give us the details of the results.
