rkettle Posted July 18, 2014 Report Posted July 18, 2014 Searched for 4 star, Midtown. Found this and booked it: Free internetPet Friendly (extra charge)RestaurantsBusiness Center (extra charge)Self-service LaundryAccessible path of travelAccessible for the deafRoll in showerStill gathering reviews $552 for $349 Here's where it got frustrating. I called the City Club to confirm the reservation and type of room. Instead of two beds for two couples, we got a king bed, a roll away bed and a couch so technically it would sleep 4 adults. The hotel (Keith) did allow me to upgrade to two double beds for an additional $30 per night. All said and done, this is still a reasonable deal. Lessons learned: 1. Read the fine print. It says "All rooms are guaranteed to sleep the number of guests you provided during your search, but we cannot guarantee the number of beds. 2. Call the hotel ASAP and confirm the arrangements. You might be sleeping on a couch. I could have booked through trip advisor for $922.38 vs $943.32 on Hotwire and without all of the hassle.
