joninvb
First time using betterbidding and Price.line. Followed all steps forum admins have mentioned, including the rebidding process Started off in TS with 4 star, then added MSG, MW, CPS and MTE. Started bidding at $110, eventually, after following rebidding process steps, got up to $145 and was rejected. Checked again tonight on Priceline.Express and saw 4* in Midtown East, 8.0 rating, with following amenities for $152: Pet Friendly, Restaurant, Business Center, Fitness Center Based upon the PL NY Hotel Lists for 4*, I was able to narrow down the list pretty quickly: W hotel, Affina 50, Doubletree Metropolitan and the IC Barclay Really, the only 2 that met the full amenity list were the W hotel and the IC Barclay (again, realizing amenity list may have changed/updated) Cross checked the hotel ratings on regular Price.line and that eliminated the W Hotel and the Doubletree.. Pulled the trigger and got the Intercontinental Barclay. Wanted to say a huge thanks to all the regular contributors for the help with the bidding process(es). Between this forum and the hotel lists you have compiled, it made it a lot easier to have a good guess as to what I may be getting. Yes, I used the PRICELINE links in the forums! You guys rock. Thanks for all you do. Hope the hotel is nice. Not sure what to expect... Link to comment
thereuare
Congratulations on your success! Nice to see you received the hotel you were hoping for and that you're pleased with the outcome. You're also near my often recommended Ess-A-Bagel (Third Ave at 51st St) which has one of the best bagels in the city, makes for a nice, and relatively inexpensive, breakfast among local NYers. Thank you for sharing your win and using the PRICELINE links on the board to begin your bidding. Enjoy your stay and let us know if you have any questions/need help with NYC. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
