collegex4 Posted July 4, 2014 Report Posted July 4, 2014 Will be flying into San Francisco airport from the NE slightly after midnight July 25 so I assume I should assume I should bid on a room for July 24 since we will leave hotel the morning of July 25. Would appreciate a bidding strategy for either SFO San Bruno or Burlingame for 3 stars or above. Max would be $110 with a strong preference for under $100. Priceline.express has 3 stars for $179 Burlingame and 3 stars for $124 San Bruno. Hot.wire has no 3 stars for San Bruno and $139 3 star in Burlingame. Thank you.
thereuare Posted July 5, 2014 Report Posted July 5, 2014 When bidding 3* in San Francisco you have ONE re-bid zone. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding. Select 3* SFO Airport... Bid $90, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $100, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINE... Select 3* SFO North... Bid $90, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $100, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINE... Select 3* SFO Airport and SFO North... Bid $105, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $110 If the above is rejected, and assuming you have no other options around the $110 price point, i would look at PRICELINE EXPRESS SFO North offer for $124/nite (today is the last day to use the discount link and code in my signature for 5% OFF bringing this to $118/nite): Free Internet in room Business Center Fitness Center Any questions feel free to ask. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Good luck and let us know how it goes. collegex4 Posted July 6, 2014 Author Report Posted July 6, 2014 Thank you for your quick response and help. Tried unsuccessfully to bid up to my max of $110. Are now re evaluating our travel plans in light of costs and may switch to another San Francisco suburb ( Oakland-Eastbay) to be closer to family.
thereuare Posted July 6, 2014 Report Posted July 6, 2014 Feel free to continue this thread with your new zone(s) and we'll take it from there.
