Tirapapas Posted July 1, 2014 Report Posted July 1, 2014 So the help I need might be stranger than usual. I am traveling to Vegas with my family (2 adults, 3 kids ... 15, 13 and 9) and room for five are rare in Vegas. So using PRICELINE Express there is this 5 star North Strip hotel for $94/nt that has the Bed Choice Available feature. The hotel has this ammenities:Free Parking Outdoor Pool Fitness Center Restaurant Casino Business CenterAnd in the Bed Choice Availabe, these are the options:Luxury-1 King Suite for $94 /nightVenezia Luxury1 King Suitefo $94 /nightVenezia Bella-2 Queens Suite for $94 /nightBella-2 Queens Suite for $114 /nightThis bedding options would certainly be in either Venetian or Palazzo hotel, and I would be pleased with either option. So if i pick the Venezia Bella or the plain Bella, and knowing those rooms are huge in the Palazzo and Venetian, I can certainly state that my party of five would fit, four in the beds and one in the living room, that might or not have an extra sofa bed, but doesn't really matter as my 9 year old can sleep on either. Supposing that I use this priceline express option and in fact I am awarded a Bella 2 Queens Suite on Venetian/Palazzo, what would most certainly happen when I arrive at the hotel with my family? (I can certainly do a discrete check in, without all the troop) And what's the worst that can happen? My concern if they deny the five of us a stay, as there is no option for five in those hotels, I don't know why. They might want to charge me for the extra people, and I can pay. I know Priceline policy is 2 adults, and we are only 2 adults. I would appreciate your comments on my reasoning and the likely scenarios and worst case scenario. Thank you very much. I will use the link if I decide to do this and certainly come back with what happened, or will close the post if decide not to purse.
thereuare Posted July 2, 2014 Report Posted July 2, 2014 The worst that could happen is that you are denied a room OR are required to pay extra. I suspect the most likely scenario is that if you use a 'discreet check-in' (as you put it) all will be OK, as Vegas hotels are so big and it's not as if you're walking past the front desk at a small hotel where the clerk may remember you each time you enter/leave the hotel. While tipping housekeeping is usually a good idea, it's an even better idea when you have extra guests, as the maid is an often overlooked source of where you could report that there are more guests in the room. My guess for the property above would be the Venetian. Thanks for using the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board. Let us know whatever you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help. Tirapapas Posted July 2, 2014 Author Report Posted July 2, 2014 So here is what I did: Instead of using Priceline Express Deal I went with Hotwire (I used your links). I will post the deal on the Hotwire forum, but here is the detail: Same nights, 99 USD/NT using 2 kids and 2 adults (it began at the same 94/nt but later in the day climbed to 99/Nt). With the description (5 stars North Strip, Free Parking, Free Internet, Resort, Suite, Casino, Fitness Center, Pools, Restaurants, Business Center) figured it will be the Venetian or the Palazzo, and in the worst case some other 5 star in the North Strip. By using 2 adults 2 kids instead of the 2 adults guaranteed by Priceline, I figured I will only need to sneak one other kid, and if they find out or say something, I will pay for 1 extra and not 3 extra. It ended up being the Venetian. As it is a suite, we should be fine with the beddings. As always, thanks for the help.

AaronJB Posted July 2, 2014 Report Posted July 2, 2014 Congrats on your success. :) Very good deal for this property and hope you are looking forward to your stay. If you have 5, what I would do is just not have everyone walk up to the desk at check-in. I believe there were likely more amenities then what you have posted above as HOTWIRE has a new interface that does not show the complete set of amenities unless you click thru a few extra links. For future searches/bookings you can do the following to ensure you're seeing the complete list:1) use the EASY VIEW tab of our BiddingHelper.com and click the green 'See All Amenities' buttonOR2) search HOTWIRE (or use the HOTWIRE tab at BiddingHelper.com) and...click the offeron the next page click the BOOK NOW linkin the TRIP SUMMARY box click the 'See more' link at the end of the amenities Thank you for sharing your win and please use the site's PRICELINE or HOTWIRE links to start your purchases and searches. Enjoy your stay.
