AaronJB Posted June 30, 2014 Report Posted June 30, 2014 The Michigan City outlets are nice, but I'd also recommend the Pleasant Prairie Outlet Mall just North of the Wisconsin/Illinois border. Easier drive, some odds and ends nearby (Lake Geneva is a fairly short drive from where the mall is and there's a few other sights nearby or on the way), plus some nice hotels in that area. The Outlet Mall in Pleasant Prarie is a Premium Outlet mall, which is the same chain as the Michigan City mall, so pretty much same stuff, different location. There is also a Premium Outlet in Aurora, IL - again, same chain and pretty much same stuff, different location. There are a LOT of hotel options out in this direction. Plus, there's a nice IKEA in nearby Bolingbrook, if that is of any interest. I'd also really advise against considering a hotel with a 1/5 tripadvisor rating, which is impressively bad. Lastly, I'll also offer a different suggestion: Stay in Vernon Hills, IL. The Gurnee Mills outlet mall is an easy drive North from there and then the Pleasant Prairie Premium Outlet mall isn't that much further North, just over the border. Two outlet malls to pick from. If you repeat your search using our BiddingHelper.com tool... use the HOTWIRE EASY VIEW tab and then click the GREEN BUTTON next to this listing, do you see more amenities then what you have listed above?
