mgCLE
Hi. Do you know what hotels are possible when bidding on a 4.5 star hotel in Orlando (Intl. Drive South - Sea World)? The pinned list does not have any 4.5 stars listed for Intl. Drive South - Sea World. My guss is that it is the JW Marriott at Grande Lakes but priceline has the JW at a 4 star.. Thanks for the help! thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding! If you haven't yet, please start by reading your messages. Sometimes if a zone offers both 4* and 5* bidding, but no 4.5* hotels, PRICELINE will allow 4.5* bidding as well (any bids accepted at this star rating would be upgraded to the 5* level) and i think that may be the case here. It's usually best to assume that if PRICELINE offers bidding at a given star rating in a zone that there is indeed a hotel of that rating in the zone, but i'd speculate this may be one of the few instances where this may not be the case. Is there something in particular you're looking for in an upcoming stay? What are your dates of travel and expected budget? mgCLE
Thanks for the fast reply! Rounding up to 5 star from 4.5 sounds about right in this case. FYI the 5 star (Orlando Intl. Drive South - Sea Wrold) isn't on the pinned list but my guess is that it is The Ritz Carlton. Could it be the Ritz? I went to a convention last September and got the Rosen Shingle Creek (4 star Orlando Intl. Drive South - Seaworld) for $64. The Rosen Shingle Creek was wonderful and I want to stay there again for this years convention in September but figured I'd make a play for the 5 stars in the area. Link to comment
thereuare
Yes, the Ritz Carlton would be my best guess for the 5* hotel in the zone (at least among the possibilities). What are the dates of your stay? What is your budget for a 5 star? For a 4 star? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
