Hotwire Hotel: Osaka Japan Minami Area 4 Star Help (hotel list?)

Hello!

I'm a first time Hot.wire user and just need a bit of advice! I need 2 hotel rooms for osaka minami area from 2/11 until 7/11 and I want a 4 star hotel!

It's indicating 50% off and price is decent for a 4 star but will it definitely be 4 star? I've done an Expedia search and there are only a few 4 stars within the area and all are acceptable but would their hotel list be similar? Anyway of narrowing it down?

Unfortunately, no hotels have been reported to the board in this area.

 

Please provide the full details of the listing in question (star rating, price per night before taxes/fees, full set of amenities and zone) and we would be happy to take a look and *try* to ID.

 

If you purchase a 4*, it will be a 4* hotel. There is always the possibility that a guest may not agree with a star rating, but that can happen with any hotel service, discount or regular rate.

 

Expe.dia is a different service, so the hotel possibilities would not necessarily be the same.

You could also look at the "Standard Rate" 4* hotels on Hot.wire.  Although the Hotwire's "Secret Hot Rate" are not necessarily the same, the comparison would be a little closer than Expe.dia's list.

The full details are;

Osaka Minami area/zone

4 star

Amenities are Free internet, internet access, in room accessibility, handicapped parking

£46.69 per night GBP - says total so must include taxes/fees

2 rooms for 2 people (slightly reduces rate) for 15 nights from 2/11 to 17/11

I have had a look on their standard rate hotels and there 13 of them until I click Internet access and it restricts to a few but I'm sure all the others will have Internet access! All the hotels are nice enough but some a bit far away from namba station so if anyone could narrow it down, I would appreciate it!

I haven't looked on Priceline yet (not sure how it works to be honest)

Please change the drop down menu on the top right of HOT.WIRE's page to United States and the currency dropdown to US Dollars. Then continue to search HOT.WIRE and post to the board in US Dollars so that rates are consistent and not subject to interpretation due to future currency fluctuation. Once you're ready to purchase stay on the US version of their site and simply change the drop down menu to whatever currency you'd like to use and complete your purchase.

Using the method above, what is the room rate per nite in US Dollars?

Also, please confirm the dates of your stay as Nov 2-Nov 17 (as your first post above has your dates listed as Nov 2-7)

The room rate in dollars is 84 per night (2 rooms for 2 adults) plus taxes but using the us site it's only a 3.5 star?

Sorry the travel dates are 2nd nov to 17th nov

The 3.5* currently offered has a slightly different amenity set then the 4* you had listed above. These are the three amenities i'm seeing for this 3.5* offer (where the previous listing above had four amenities):

Free Internet

Hi-Speed Internet

Handicapped Parking

Not too many amenities to go by, but the Tennoji Miyako and the Best Western Hotel Fino Osaka Shinsaibashi would be at least two candidates among the possibilities.

You may also want to try searching our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com if you're looking for something in a specific location, as the interface there makes it easy to see hotels near almost any location in the world and how much more/less it would cost to stay closer/further from your ideal location OR to go up/down in star rating (you can also filter results to only show you specific star ratings if you have a minimum star rating you're looking for)
