It looks like this property isn't available any longer.

Can you please run a new search and confirm that you still can see this hotel on your search.

I'm concerned it might be the Champions World Resort, since the TripAdvisor rating, resort fee, and general location match:

However, Hot.wire claims this hotel normally goes for $116 per night.  The absolute highest rate on any of their rooms directly on their website is $80, and their standard room is $60.  Is it possible that Hot.wire is so substantially inflating the cost, or does this make it unlikely that this is the hotel I'd be bidding on?

You can't post links. They are tied to your personnel HOTWIRE session.

Do you still see the property if you click on the continue button? (Like you're going to book it).

I do see this property when searching for your dates and agree that the Champions World Resort would be a realistic possibility.

Not sure of your needs for this trip, but i will add that we see very few purchases in this zone (i'm assuming since hotels closer to Disney are more convenient and can often similarly priced).

Blah.  Thanks.  I am bummed that Hotwire would heavily inflate the "retail" of the room so as to make it seem like you're getting a great deal.  $30 for a $59 room is not the same as $30 for a $115 rack-rate room!  I won't be booking this because the place looks very motel-y and the reviews and user submitted photos aren't painting the best picture.

We're doing Disney, so looking for something in that general area; I don't mind a longer shuttle ride or taking public transit to get there though, if it means being able to have a nicer room.

I found this one and it looks promising, which property do you think it is?  It *seems* like it might be the Hilton Grand Vacation Suites; what do you guys think?  (I'm worried now about inflated rack rates!)

The crossed out rate is not necessarily the rack rate of the hotel offered... it's an average rate of hotels of this star rating in the zone for your dates.

The Hilton Grand Vacations Suites on International Drive would be my best guess for the one above.

Thanks, that's very helpful to know!  There was no resort fee listed; should I assume that this means I won't have to pay one, or can there be undisclosed resort fees after I book?

or can there be undisclosed resort fees after I book?

Yes it can but not for Hilton Grand Vacations. HOTWIRE is usually very good with the information about resort fee's but sometimes isn't the information listed.

Being fairly confident this was the Hilton property, I decided not to bid on it after calling the resort and finding out that the shuttle fees to Disney were fairly high.  Thanks for the help, you saved me from making an expensive mistake!

Because the shuttle was an issue, I decided to book the Wyndham LBV directly and the rooms were discounted $20/night.  Planning a Universal trip in May and will rent a car, so hopefully I can take advantage of the great secret deals for that trip.  Thanks for all your help, guys!
