wakko Posted November 21, 2005 Report Posted November 21, 2005 need advice on how to book this hotel stay in new york. 1/21, 1/22, 1/23 looking to spend around $100/night($150max but dates from 1/23-1/28) instead and wanted to stay for 7days, would it be better if i bid in smaller groups to get cheaper rates? or the whole 7 days is best? wanted to stay around midtown. please advise.
thereuare Posted November 21, 2005 Report Posted November 21, 2005 Welcome to BetterBidding! Can you please clarify your dates, it's not clear (to me) why you first mention 1/21, 1/22, 1/23 and then mention 1/23-1/28? wakko Posted November 21, 2005 Author Report Posted November 21, 2005 yes i would like to stay from 1/21-1/28, but maybe due to the costs 1/23 or 1/22 - 1/28 might be better. wanted to spend around 700-800 for the 7 nights but it maybe be a little unrealistic for a 3* just wishful thinking. but if not wanted to spend around 900max before taxes. sorry for any of the confusion.i'm thinking it might be easier to split the trip and move from 1 hotel to the next? like book a hotel from 1/22-1/26 and than stay somewhere else for the 2 nights 1/26/-1/28?
thereuare Posted November 21, 2005 Report Posted November 21, 2005 I think you're making this more difficult than it needs to be...What is your maximum bid (before fees and taxes on a per nite basis) which would fit within your budget for the complete stay of 1/21-1/28. wakko Posted November 21, 2005 Author Report Posted November 21, 2005 ok so officially the dates are 1/22-1/28 max fee would like to pay is 115/night pretty low, but would it be possible for a 3*? and what would i start the bidding at?
thereuare Posted November 22, 2005 Report Posted November 22, 2005 At the 3* level you have one re-bid zone available. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zone with the board.Select 3* MTE...Bid $90, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $95, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 3* UM/CPS...Bid $90, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $95, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 3* MTW...Bid $90, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $95, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 3* MTE and UM/CPS...Bid $100, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $105, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 3* MTW and MTE...Bid $100, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $105, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 3* MTW and MTE and UM/CPS...Bid $110, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $115.If the above is rejected, Hotwire does have a 3* in the MTE zone for $117, believed to mostly likely be the Radisson on Lexington (for which the reviews are quite mixed... note you could also end up at this property with the above 3* priceline strategy)Let us know how it goes or if you have any questions.
