The Doubletree by Hilton Los Angeles Downtown would be my best guess for this one (with a distant second guess of the Sheraton)

How about this 4* in Hollywood

Doesn't seem such a good deal.

How so... if this is the Doubletree, this property is currently selling for $195/nite for your dates (and if the Sheraton it's $300+). These may not be the hotels you are hoping/looking for, but that doesn't make them any less of a 'deal' based upon the current rates vs. the HOTWIRE rates.

 

My guess for the 4* Hollywood HOTWIRE property would be the Hollywood Roosevelt... which is currently $216/nite for your dates.

I have found a deal online for 165 dollars a night, including taxes, therefore, it is not a great saving, if it is the Doubletree, which it seems to be.

 

For other's that I have booked, I saved much more.

Rates and discounts are going to vary from day-to-day. Sometimes, if date/s are busier or something's going on, discounting is not going to be as aggressive.
