Looking for 4*/5* hotels in the Downtown/White House area and just a few questions:

 

1. I See a 4.5* at $174/night, wondering which hotel this is? Amenities include:

Boutique

Smoke free

Fitness Centre

Business Centre

Restaurant

Internet Access

 

2. Since there's still time between now and the trip, do prices normally come down as we get closer to the travel dates?

 

3. Is there a way to guarantee a room with 2 beds instead of 1?

I believe there are more amenities then what you have posted above as HOT.WIRE has a new interface that does not show the complete set of amenities unless you click thru a few extra links.

 

If you repeat your search using our Bidding.Helper.com tool... use the HOTWIRE EASY VIEW tab and then click the GREEN BUTTON next to this listing, do you see more amenities then what you have listed above?

 

There is no guarantee that prices will go down closer to your stay. They could also very easily go the other way. There has been less in the way of "last minute" price declines in the last few years as traffic/demand has risen.

 

There is no way to guarantee two beds. If you search for more than 2 people, you should get bedding for the whole party - that may mean two beds, 1 + sofa or 1 + rollaway.

A property with this amenity set has not yet been reported to the board, and as there are only 5 reviews by previous HOTWIRE guests, i suspect this is likely a new property recently added to the HOTWIRE system... unfortunately with so many hotels in the area i don't have any insight into this one.

This listing has not yet been ID'd/reported to the board, but I'd guess the Capital Hilton would be a possibility in this case. That's a guess, and it may be something else.

Booked it through your HOTWIRE link. I was targeting the Sofitel, but was secretly hoping that it would be Hay-Adams. Paid a bit more than I wanted but would want to secure the booking in my target area now rather than later.
