looi Posted November 20, 2005 Author Report Posted November 20, 2005 Sorry, i thought that topic was closed. But I updated it with my decision.
thereuare Posted November 21, 2005 Report Posted November 21, 2005 You have 4 re-bid zones available at the 4* level. If you're not sure of your re-bid zones please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.Select 4* South Beach...Bid $62, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $65, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $70, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $75, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $80.Good Luck and let us know how it goes. looi Posted November 23, 2005 Author Report Posted November 23, 2005 Thereuare, thanks for the response! I have further investigated all the hotels. Sorry to do this to you, but can you offer a strategy for Resorts in Miami Beach for the max of $80. Thanks!
thereuare Posted November 23, 2005 Report Posted November 23, 2005 At the Resort level in Miami Beach you have eight re-bid zones. We won't use them all because if you are successful it will likely be near the very top of your maximum bid range.Select Resort Miami Beach...Bid $65, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $68, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $70, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $72, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $74, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $76, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $78, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $80. looi Posted November 30, 2005 Author Report Posted November 30, 2005 Hi ThereUAre, I tried the strategy, none of them were accepted. Perhaps I should wait for 72 hrs and try the hotel in South Beach instead. Do you think this is a better idea?
thereuare Posted November 30, 2005 Report Posted November 30, 2005 I don't know the purpose and/or plans of your stay, so i can't comment as to which zone would be better for your needs.Your stay is less than 3 weeks away so if one area is rejecting your bids, i would certainly try another zone (if one is acceptable) or consider raising your maximum bid. I don't think the Miami Resort bid was a high probabilty based upon your maximum bid amount while the 4* in South Beach has a better chance. looi Posted December 5, 2005 Author Report Posted December 5, 2005 My bid was accepted at the Royal Palm Hotel in South Beach for $75. Thanks!!!!
thereuare Posted December 5, 2005 Report Posted December 5, 2005 Congratulations on your win and thank you for sharing it with the board. To confirm, did you follow the above strategy so that your previous bid before this $75 acceptance was at $70?Looks like a good deal... enjoy your stay.
