bermin Posted June 11, 2014 Report Posted June 11, 2014 originally started looking for 3.5 star starting at $65 and going up to 69.. Noticed the $57 express deal for 3 star and decided to slum it a little. Got it with first try with 53. Stayed at this hotel before and it is comfortable and quiet though it is farther away from airport than most listed hotels.

bermin Posted June 17, 2014 Author Report Posted June 17, 2014 Just a follow up.. Put us on the 6th floor by the elavator. Unfortunate priceline treatment but was too tired to complain at the time. Wish we did as the sound of the elevator motor and cables kept us awake all night.. Other priceliners, do not put up with this.. complain as there is no excuse.
thereuare Posted June 17, 2014 Report Posted June 17, 2014 If the hotel had other rooms available, and you asked for a room change and were denied, then i would say that you likely encountered some 'priceline treatment', but otherwise i don't know if you can necessarily conclude that your room assignment was intentional. Not too long ago i had a hotel direct bookings where i had great rapport with the front desk and also had status in the hotel's loyalty program and was assigned a room next to the elevator. There was no noise heard throughout our stay, but in a casual conversation i later had with the front desk clerk while we were chit-chatting he mentioned "... and i put you close to the elevator since you're traveling with kids" (so from his viewpoint he was doing me a favor... from a customer's standpoint they could claim bias for any number of reasons (how booked, dressed sloppy, etc)) If you don't make your preference known at check-in the front desk clerk can only guess your room preferences, so always make your desires known upon your arrival and/or say something if you're not happy with the first room assigned. Hope your future stays are more restful and to your liking. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
