sbuch Posted November 19, 2005 Report Posted November 19, 2005 My winning bid was $81 for one night. I really wanted a 4 star for a short anniversary getaway, so I started at $51 and added $10 increments, each time adding another area (downtown is the only area with a 4 star hotel.)This bid was made on the same day as we are staying there, the hotel is the Renaissance which I think may be the only 4 star in Cleveland to use Priceline. (I think there is some debate about whether it's really at a four star level, but it looks beautiful on the website! I guess I'll see...)Just FYI- it is almost always possible to get a 3 star hotel in the downtown area for around $50, and there seem to be quite a few hotels available through Priceline. There are 3 areas in Cleveland that only have 2.5 stars so you can get several chances at a downtown 3 star.
