apobrien Posted June 9, 2014 Report Posted June 9, 2014 Hello,Looking to book a two night stay in NYC between July 3-5 over July 4th.We would like to be in reasonable walking distance to attractions and theatre. Can you guys help to ID the two following. I have been fussing with deciding for a few days and would like to stay in the 4* range for under $150.Midtown East $130 USDFULL AMENITIES: Boutique Hotel, Fitness Center, Restaurant(s), Business Center, Internet access, Accessible for the blind, Accessible for the deaf, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Roll-in showerMidtown Central $146 USDFree Internet, Pet friendly, Boutique Hotel, Fitness Center, Business Center, Internet accessThanksI've clicked each the PL and HOTWIRE links and will use the HOTWIRE link when I book :)
thereuare Posted June 9, 2014 Report Posted June 9, 2014 My best guess for each: Midtown East $130 USD --> The Lexington New York City with a new Boutique amenity would be my best guess for this one Midtown Central $146 USD --> i recently looked at this property for another user and although not an exact match, the Mansfield Hotel would be my guess for this one. If you're willing to increase your budget a bit there is also this 4.5* for $171/nite in the ESB zone that has a 4.5/5.0 TA rating: Free Internet Fitness Business Laundry Hi-Speed Internet --> my best guess here would be the St. Giles - The Tuscany which gets great reviews Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can e of further help. PS- please also follow-up your previous Priceline London thread with whatever you decided to do for that trip. Thanks. apobrien Posted June 10, 2014 Author Report Posted June 10, 2014 Thanks, I think that with fees etc. I can book in advance straight through the hotel at the Tuscany for only $2 more. So I am going to wait on pulling the trigger on that. Can you help also with this 4* in ESB, full amenities listed as: Restaurant(s), Business Center, Self service laundry But this property is 95% recommended. Currently $150 USDThanks in advance.
thereuare Posted June 10, 2014 Report Posted June 10, 2014 Make sure you're not confusing the St. Giles The Tuscany with the St. Giles The Court... as i'm seeing the former starting at $215/nite, the latter closer to the rate you're quoting. I saw the 4* ESB property earlier and unfortunately with just the three amenities shown i don't have any insight for this one. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Let us know whatever you decide for this trip or how we can be of further help. apobrien Posted June 12, 2014 Author Report Posted June 12, 2014 Ended up booking the 4* in MSG. I was confident it would be the TRYP from an earlier post about these amenities (thanks thereuare). I was comfortable with the price and so we booked today. It is indeed the TRYP which is good, always happy when it turns out to be what you are expecting. gets a 90% and 4.5 on trip advisor and overall the comments are great. Amenities listed as: FULL AMENITIES: Free Internet, Smoke Free Rooms, Fitness Center, Restaurant(s), Business Center, Internet access, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Roll-in shower
AaronJB Posted June 12, 2014 Report Posted June 12, 2014 Congrats on your success. :) Nice result for this well-reviewed property and glad you are looking forward to your stay. Can you confirm the list of amenities that were showing before purchase? This information is available under the trip information in your Hot.wire account - click the "My Account" link in the upper corner of Hot.wire. Thank you for sharing your win and please use the site's PRICELINE or HOTWIRE links to start your purchases and searches. Enjoy your stay.
apobrien Posted June 12, 2014 Author Report Posted June 12, 2014 Would the amenities be listed differently as listed above.( I hadn't hit paste when I originally posted the win, but edited the post quickly to include them). Just want to make sure I put up the right info. This is what was showing when I booked through the BiddingHelper.com.
