thereuare Posted June 7, 2014 Report Posted June 7, 2014 Welcome to BetterBidding! Are you currently seeing this on PRICELINE EXPRESS, as i'm not seeing any 5* hotels offered when searching for your dates above. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
hotel8032 Posted June 7, 2014 Author Report Posted June 7, 2014 This 5* hotel is showing under Name Your Own Price. Any help would be appreciated!!
AaronJB Posted June 7, 2014 Report Posted June 7, 2014 Unfortunately, no 5*'s have been reported to the board in this zone and when you bid, you have to be willing to stay at any hotel in the zone at that star rating. The Waldorf would be a possibility at the 5* level in this zone and the Four Seasons also appears to fall within this zone. There may be others. Unfortunately, with no wins reported to the board at this star rating, there is no way to know if only one or more than one 5* hotel in this zone participates on the bidding side of the service. What would be your desired budget per night for this stay? Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
thereuare Posted June 8, 2014 Report Posted June 8, 2014 There could be others, but the Four Seasons and the Waldorf Astoria would each be possibilities as they are both 5* rated by PRICELINE and located in this zone. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Let us know if/how you'd like to proceed or how we can be of further help with this trip. hotel8032 Posted June 8, 2014 Author Report Posted June 8, 2014 Ah yes, you are right! The Waldorf could be included as a 5* property in this zone along with the Four Seasons. I was hoping it would be easy and there would be just one 5* property so I could be closer to winning a bid at the Four Seasons. We would love to stay at this new property it looks SO gorgeous. Hmmmm.......
AaronJB Posted June 8, 2014 Report Posted June 8, 2014 Definitely keep us updated on what you decide and if you would like to proceed - it becomes about your needs in terms of hotel (how much time you are going to be at the hotel and using amenities), desired budget per night and if you would like to go for a 5* if you were primarily interested in one property. Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.

AaronJB Posted June 8, 2014 Report Posted June 8, 2014 I do see a 5* on HOTWIRE for these date/s in Lake Buena Vista-Downtown Disney a hair over the top end of your budget at $202. This has not yet been ID'd/reported to the board, but I'd guess the Waldorf would be a likely possibility. However, given that the listing has a 4.5/5 tripadvisor rating (which you can see on the detail page by clicking on the listing), it's unfortunately not the Four Seasons, given that that property isn't open yet and wouldn't have tripadvisor reviews. You could also try bidding for less, but this mystery 5* does at least get excellent tripadvisor reviews. All that said, Expe.dia has a really good sale on the Waldorf for $218 and that can be cancelled (although read the fine print to double check exact details.) The Ritz is also $202. There is a resort fee with each (and resort fees are common in Orlando.) I will note that a 4* will likely be around 50-55% less. You have a lot of options within your desired budget range (or a hair above), but it becomes whether you want to go for the cheapest 4* or push towards the top end of your budget for something nicer/more deluxe. Is the Lake BV-Downtown Disney zone the only zone of interest? Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE, Expedia or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
hotel8032 Posted June 9, 2014 Author Report Posted June 9, 2014 Yes, this is the area we would like to stick to.

hotel8032 Posted June 9, 2014 Author Report Posted June 9, 2014 No, not yet. Still deciding if I should bid low and probably get Waldorf or save for a few more months and purchase Four Seasons...
