Hotwire Hotel: Hotel for next year

Based upon another topic, I see that using Hotwire is the way to go for us.  We will be travelling to Amsterdam/Paris in June 2015.  Unable to book rooms this far in advance but yet if you go to TripAdvisor, it appears that some places are already sold out.

Family of 3 with possible another individual.  Since I am not sure if that individual is coming, I was going to book room that sleeps 4.

What would you suggest that I do to increase my odds of getting my bid accepted?

Thanks.

Welcome to Betterbidding. :)

Hot.wire is not bidding, but instead a selection of listings that show amenities, star rating, zone and price per night. You do not find the name of the hotel until after purchase. What are your date/s of travel? If too far out, then you will not be able to book just yet.

Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.

The hotels being sold out this far in advance means nothing. A lot of the hotels don't have their contigents reported this far in advance.

In general you shouldn't have a problem getting hotels in Paris and Amsterdam in June as summer holidays in Europe have not started yet in most countries (July and August) are far more popular.

I'd wait some more to book.
