Doubletree website has room for $249 which is cheaper than Hot.wire, is this possible?

It's rare that HOTWIRE will have a room rate higher than the hotel's own rate, but it does happen from time to time (although HOTWIRE does have a best rate guarantee).

Given the July 4th holidays (along with peak summer season) the hotels in this area are likely very busy and feel they may be able to sell most rooms on their own (at full price). During times such as this hotels may not offer HOTWIRE any inventory, and what is offered may not be discounted as much as during more 'normal' times.
