Janet Diber Posted March 31, 2014 Report Posted March 31, 2014 Can you please give me an idea of what these 2 hotels might be on Priceline.express: 5 star @ $158 pn with these amenities: Outdoor Swimming Pool Free Parking Restaurant Business Center Casino Fitness Center 4 star @ $94 pn with these amenities: Free Internet in public areas Outdoor Swimming Pool Free Parking Restaurant Business Center Casino Fitness Center Thanks
thereuare Posted April 1, 2014 Report Posted April 1, 2014 Does the first property (the 5*) also have a CONDO amenity associated with it? If so, best guess here would be the Palazzo Resort Hotel and Casino. For the 4* my best guess would be the Treasure Island. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
Janet Diber Posted April 2, 2014 Author Report Posted April 2, 2014 Hi guys, I am going to try my luck with Vegas now. Any idea what this hotel might be at $149 pn on PRICELINE EXPRESS. Free Internet in room Outdoor Swimming Pool Free Parking Business Center Fitness Center it also gives bed option of Deluxe Suite or Premium View deluxe suite? thanks
thereuare Posted April 2, 2014 Report Posted April 2, 2014 Best guess for this one would be the Vdara. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. (or the 5% OFF link in my signature) Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
Janet Diber Posted April 4, 2014 Author Report Posted April 4, 2014 Sorry I left out that this property is 5 star in the las vegas strip vicinity south area on Priceline.express....Does that make a difference to the outcome? It is 8 out of 10 for $149 per night with these amenities: Free Internet in room Outdoor Swimming Pool Free Parking Business Center Fitness Center
thereuare Posted April 4, 2014 Report Posted April 4, 2014 The Vdara would be my best guess for the one immediately above. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
Janet Diber Posted April 7, 2014 Author Report Posted April 7, 2014 Does the Paris, planet hollywood or Aria show up on Priceline very often?
Janet Diber Posted April 7, 2014 Author Report Posted April 7, 2014 I have just noticed that the 5 star hotels listed on this site for Las Vegas are The Aria, Cosmopolitan and Vdara. Is there a anything i can look out for to get the Aria or Cosmopolitan. Not really interested in the Vdara. Still looking for 2 rooms from the 3rd October for 5 nights. Would also be happy with Paris or Planet hollywood or even Bellagio but i think that is way out of our price range of $180US per night. Appreciate your help? Janet
Janet Diber Posted April 7, 2014 Author Report Posted April 7, 2014 This 5 star is on Hotwire, do you think it could be the Aria? Strip south at $178pn 95% recommended with these amenities: Free ParkingResortCasinoFitness CenterPool(s)Restaurant(s)Business CenterInternet accessGolf NearbySpa ServicesAccessible for the blindAccessible for the deafAccessible path of travelIn-room accessibilityAccessible bathroomHandicapped parkingRoll-in showerThanks
thereuare Posted April 7, 2014 Report Posted April 7, 2014 The Vdara does not have a Casino so you can 'safely' purchase any hotel that shows as Casino amenity in order to avoid the Vdara. Best guess for the HOTWIRE property above would be the Aria (with a slight chance of the Bellagio).
Janet Diber Posted April 7, 2014 Author Report Posted April 7, 2014 Thanks for that info...however this one is showing on Hotwire as $195pn normally $377pn on strip south with these amenities:Free Parking Pet friendly Casino Fitness CenterRestaurant(s) Business Center Internet access Spa ServicesAccessibilityAccessible for the blind It is 90% recommended but it says up the top that the "last person won the Vdara"....Confusing as this has a casino in amentiies... Do you think it might be the Bellagio as I will happily pay an extra $17 to stay there.
thereuare Posted April 7, 2014 Report Posted April 7, 2014 If you're not using the EASY VIEW TAB at BiddingHelper.com, please do the following to ensure you're seeing the complete set of amenities associated with each hotel: -search HOTWIRE (or use the BiddingHelper.com HOTWIRE tab) and click the offer -on the next page click the BOOK NOW button -in the TRIP SUMMARY box click the 'See more' link at the end of the list of amenities Following the above i believe this is the complete amenity set for this property: Free Parking Pet Friendly Casino Fitness Restaurant Business Hi-Speed Internet Spa Blind Accessible Deaf Accessible Travel Accessible Room Accessible Wheelchair Accessible Bathroom Accessible Handicapped Parking Roll-in Shower If so, my best guess here would be The Cosmopolitan.
Janet Diber Posted April 8, 2014 Author Report Posted April 8, 2014 Firstly let me thank you so much for your help, especially with this one as it is quite confusing for me. I wasnt using the bidding helper tab you as wasnt sure what you meant but now i do. I managed to find the amenties and they are as follows: Free ParkingPet friendlyCasinoFitness CenterRestaurant(s)Business CenterInternet accessSpa ServicesAccessible for the blindAccessible for the deafAccessible path of travelIn-room accessibilityWheelchair accessibleAccessible bathroomHandicapped parkingRoll-in shower I would be very happy If this is the Cosmopolitan but it is saying above the hotel name that the last person won the VDARA. Do they do this to trick you because as you mentioned there is no casino at the Vdara and this has one listed?
AaronJB Posted April 8, 2014 Report Posted April 8, 2014 The "Last Person Won" is not necessarily the underlying hotel it is the last hotel that someone bought at that star rating in that zone, not necessarily the hotel currently being offered. Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
thereuare Posted April 8, 2014 Report Posted April 8, 2014 Best guess for the hotel 2 posts above remains the Cosmopolitan. Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. Janet Diber Posted April 9, 2014 Author Report Posted April 9, 2014 Ok now on to Vegas to clench me another deal :D We are thinking a 4 star might be more in our price range but would really like the Paris Red room if possible. Do you think this could be the Paris? Priceline express, Strip south vicinity, 5 nights from the 3rd October, 2 rooms for $99 per night 7 out of 10 with these amenities: Free Internet in roomOutdoor Swimming PoolFree ParkingBusiness CenterCasinoFitness CentreAnd this bed choice: $86 per night Deluxe Room - 1 Bed Requested.$98 per night High Floor Deluxe - 1 Bed Requested.$110 per night Strip View Deluxe - 1 Bed Requested.$121 per night Deluxe Room - 2 Beds Requested.$132 per night High Floor Deluxe - 2 Beds Requested. Also on Hotwire for $96 pn norm $139, 75% recommended with these amenities: Free ParkingFree InternetResortCasinoFitnessCenterPool(s)Restaurant(s)Business CenterGolf NearbySpa ServicesAccessible for the deafAccessible path of travelIn-roomaccessibilityWheelchairaccessibleAccessible bathroomHandicapped parkingRoll-in shower Thanks again and again and again
thereuare Posted April 9, 2014 Report Posted April 9, 2014 The HOTWIRE property would look to be the Tropicana... my guess for the PRICELINE EXPRESS property would be the Monte Carlo. Even if one of these were the Paris, with HOTWIRE your purchase would be for a 'standard' room so you wouldn't get a Red room (you would have to try to negotiate and/or pay for an upgrade at check-in, if available)... with PRICELINE EXPRESS you would get one of the room types booked, none of which indicated a Red room. Given how much cheaper Las Vegas hotels typically are Sun-Thur, is SPLITTING YOUR PRICELINE BID an option? Thanks for using the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board. Let us know how you'd like to proceed. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
Janet Diber Posted April 10, 2014 Author Report Posted April 10, 2014 I am not really wanting to take the risk of having to move hotels so I will say no to splitting the bid. I am happy to take the standard room at the Paris, my sister wants the red room and is happy to pay extra on arrival for an upgrade. Thanks
thereuare Posted April 10, 2014 Report Posted April 10, 2014 ... but currently the Paris does not seem to be showing via HOTWIRE or PRICELINE EXPRESS. It's not really a hotel that we see that often, so i wouldn't necessarily hold out hope that it eventually shows for your dates. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
Janet Diber Posted April 10, 2014 Author Report Posted April 10, 2014 Thanks we are not in any hurry as still have 6 months to go. Can you give me an idea what i should look out for so when it does come up I will know
thereuare Posted April 10, 2014 Report Posted April 10, 2014 You can look for the amenities that have previously been used by Paris as found in the Hotwire Hotel List... but of course you're encouraged to post to the board and confirm what you think you're seeing as many Las Vegas hotels look alike and can differ by just one amenity (or share the same exact amenity set) Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
Janet Diber Posted April 19, 2014 Author Report Posted April 19, 2014 Sorry me again: still going?? Hotwire for $74pn on strip south 65% recommended with these amenities... yellowdog Posted April 19, 2014 Report Posted April 19, 2014 Best guess would be Luxor. Keep us updated on your progress and let us know what you ultimately decide or if we can be of further help. Please use the PRICELINE and hot.wire links on the board to begin your purchases and searches. Yellowdog.
Janet Diber Posted April 19, 2014 Author Report Posted April 19, 2014 still waiting for the 5 star hotels to drop down in price or the Paris to show its face. Thanks for your help
AaronJB Posted April 19, 2014 Report Posted April 19, 2014 Do keep in mind that Paris has shown infrequently over the years and there is no guarantee that 5* prices couldn't go the other way. Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
