To me, it looks like Hard Rock is closest to the amenities.

If so, my guess would be the Allerton.

Ended up going another direction and got a winner -- Hotel Allegro -- ranked #59 out of 168 on tripadvisor. 

 

4* Chicago Loop - Theatre District area.

I'll note that a unique food option is a few blocks West in the Ogilvie Transit Center. The Chicago French Market (http://www.frenchmarketchicago.com/) is an indoor marketplace with a number of different vendors, including one of my favorites, Wisma (http://wisma.us/)
