I was very apprehensive paying for a room "south of the mall" since the map goes quite a bit south and I'd heard that the area could be less-than-safe. But the low price for a suite with kitchenette and continental breakfast included lured me in.

So when I checked the hotel after paying, I was ecstatic! The Capital Hill Suites is right across the street from the capital (C Street at 2nd).
